Hi folks, Paul here, with some info about the future of the comic

By Failbetter, June 7, 2013 · Comics

So, there’s some good news and some bad news. The bad news is, we’re not going to do a Kickstarter for a Fallen London graphic novel. The response to these first pages has been incredibly favourable, better than we’d hoped, but the research we’ve done on Kickstarter suggest that the numbers just won’t work.

The good news is that, because the response was so favourable – and that includes some industry insiders who know about this sort of thing – that we’re now seeking a proper publisher instead.

The even better news is that we are steaming ahead with another Kickstarter project. We’ll have an announcement about that very soon. We’re all extremely excited about it, and we hope you will be too.

If you want to find out more… well, there’s a clue hidden in the page above. Perhaps you can find it.

A Fallen London graphic novel?! Yes, please! I'd really, really, REALLY love for this to happen...please make this happen. What a great way to pass the time while waiting for my action candle to replenish, or when the internet is down or out of range...or just for the pure joy of reading and enjoying more beautiful artwork. Has this project been abandoned? Please take it up again. I'd love to have it for my Goodreads Challenge.

The comic pages can be found at if you wish to see them.

Er, perhaps I'm being a bit dim, but where HAVE the comics gone? There doesn't appear to be any link to them in any of the posts in this category, nor do they appear to be included in the posts proper.

I'm guessing that Alexis was referring to the kickstarter of the game "Sunless Sea" -- which is awesome and you all should buy it and play it and die repeatedly (in the game, not real life) until your soul begins to taste like old leather and lavender oil and you find yourself wearing a top hat and shopping for a monocle. Something tidy, not too flashy, but positively not one of those "modern" frameless lenses that are all the rage with youth today.

Nothing yet, alas!

Did anything ever come of this? It's been almost two years since this entry was posted.
