Election 1898: Statistics
Another year, another election in Fallen London. The Election of 1898 saw the Viscountess of the Viric Jungle enthroned (En-pillowed? En-tabled? She’s a cat, she sits wherever she likes) as the new Mayor of London. And now the time has come to collate the data and announce detailed results.
This year’s results give us a very clear first, second, and third place. The Viscountess won with 42% of the vote, over F.F. Gebrandt’s respectable 32% and the Rubbery Entrepreneur’s 25%.
The Viscountess’ dominance was even more pronounced among Silverers, where she very nearly won a majority of votes:
Clear point of credibility there that those most involved with Parabola thought she was the right cat for the job.
However, not all is defeat for the Tentacled Entrepreneur. Among those persons that are known to us to have at some point possessed a Peculiar Personal Enhancement, the Entrepreneur won 41% of the vote.
We are certain we have not seen the last of the Tentacled Entrepreneur. Or of Peculiar Personal Enhancements, for that matter.
Meanwhile, it’s clear that F.F. Gebrandt’s supporters, on average, have spent significantly more time in their laboratories, which reflects their commitment to Science. And we could find no statistically meaningful correlation between laudanum use and voting for F.F. Gebrandt, so please stop writing the Ministry about it.
