Fallen London: the City in Silver
The City in Silver is the final epilogue of the Railway story arc. It’s a new location with a new activity and a new story, free to all players and available after completing the Railway and Furnace’s story. This is the long-promised Tracklayer’s City update, and it’s coming January 18th.
Yes, this is one last delay for a long-delayed release. Production on this story just barely missed the last available release window for this year – late November – so it has to wait its turn. The upshot is that it gives us some extra time to give a final polish to what we know is a highly anticipated addition to the game.
Visit the newly-risen city in the deep Hinterlands and see how the Tracklayers are doing. Reach out to the mind of a chthonic entity. Travel west once again and unveil one last mystery.
November and December plans
Here’s what we have coming in for the last two months of the year, after Hallowmas concludes.
Early November: Hearts’ Game Expansion 4
Mr Hearts will once again make alterations to its game. The Season of Deviations arrives with four new accomplices.
Hearts’ Game is a free activity available to all players in the late game: a nameless game of poison and delight, run by Mr Hearts from the old (but recently renovated) Gamekeeper’s Cottage. You’ll gather a team of practised murderers, and pursue a target handpicked by Mr Hearts.
This is the fourth of five planned expansions to the game, each expanding the activity with new cards and new mechanics.
Early December: A New Premium Story
We’ll share more details about this year’s premium story once we’re closer to release. I think I’m allowed just a little bit of a teaser, so I’ll give you one word and one word only: ‘Rats’.
December: The Festive Season
Christmas comes to London, as it does every year, with the expected panoply of festivities. Collect items from our Advent Calendar. Deal with the city suddenly being buried in ‘snow’.
Starting this year, we’re no longer adding to the Twelve Days of Mr Sacks story. The way that story is structured made it impossible for players to ever catch up with it as long as we kept adding a new route through it every year. So we’re leaving it as it stands now, and instead, we’re adding a new small Fate story to the festive season that is similar in scope to the Twelve Days of Mr Sacks stories.
