Festive Fanart Competition Winners

I'm here with the winning entries in the Fallen London Festive Fanart Competition, all of whom receive a Rubbery Plongeur companion. As usual, the judging focused on how well the entry conveyed the theme, which this time was: Just A Typical Neathy Christmas.

Firstly comes the entry from Alexis Royce, An Adventagonistic Christmas. Strictly they entered a series of screenshots comprising a joke about a common Christmas game played in Victorian England, but we would be remiss not to link to their full fangame. We were bowled over by the character design for Mr Pages, and how perfectly silly and dramatic it's being here.

Next we have annarooma (our site isn't playing nice with their entry, so you'll need to have a look at it on tumblr), who says: "So, this was my first Christmas in the Neath, and now this Mr Sacks is coming by with their sack to ask for things. I didn't really know what to give them after they got disappointed with me just giving them my regards yesterday, so I gave them some wine today. They seemed... Happy with that at least?" This mini animation is so charming, and what could be more typical of a Neathy Christmas than the knock knock knock of the crimson beast itself?

We loved uleebunny's festive lampcats. Cats have a special place in the Neath, and there is a universality in the experience of cat owners everywhere when it comes to Christmas decorations.

Val-pine has brought to glorious life the reality of excessive weasel ownership:

Bakuraptor has lovingly rendered the cosiest, most Christmassy little bat! And we particularly liked how it was done to resemble a real-world Victorian Christmas card. It would be at home on any mantel in London.

Rolandtravelstime has gifted us all with this classic scene, packed with character and detail, of some enterprising urchins going carolling - with their cannon, of course. It's the wee Noman that really does it for me.

And lastly, a Neathy Children's poem from lopiqol. It's full of fab details. And remember! Lacre is not food! (Read the whole thing on Discord.)

We said we'd only have seven winners, but as is our prerogative we've added another: the-dye-stained-socialite, who donned their Incarnadine Robe and attempted to put a cat in their sack.

Many thanks to everyone who entered. It's been a delight to see everyone's interpretations of the theme! I hope you enjoyed putting your entries together, and that you aren't too disheartened if you didn't win. There'll be lots of future opportunities. Happy New Year, all!
