Hello everyone! here's the latest news on Sunless Sea:

The Kickstarter campaign has raised an incredible £100,803 in 30 days. Add pledges made via Nex in Fallen London, and the total is a frankly implausible £102,580. Once again, heartfelt and humble thanks to our wonderful, generous backers.

That total takes us well over the threshold for our first Stretch Goal, Beneath The Sunless Sea. Or in other words: Zubmarines!

As previously announced, we expect to deliver BTSS as an expansion to the main game at the end of the third quarter of 2014. Anyone who backed Sunless Sea at the Zailor (£10) level or above will get the expansion for free!

Sunless Sea is scheduled for release in May 2014. The Failbetter team is already hard at work designing islands and monsters, polishing storylines, floating navigation buoys, scattering glim caches and chilling the sea to exactly the right temperature. We'll be posting frequent updates on our progress here. If you haven't already done so, you should sign up to our mailing list (over there on the right). That way you won't miss a thing.
