Surprise! Sunless Sea is coming out for Switch on 23rd April and XBoxOne on the 24th!

You may have heard that we’ve been working on console ports for Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies. Initially we’d expected Sunless Skies to release first, with Sunless Sea following. Schedules on both projects have moved around a bit, meaning the release dates are now expected to be as follows:

  • Sunless Sea comes to Switch on 23rd April
  • Sunless Sea comes to Xbox on the 24th
  • Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition comes to PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox in August/September

Note: Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition is already available on PS4, and Sunless Sea is already available on iPad.

We're not currently planning on implementing cross-saving. It's very rarely done, as far as I can tell there are only nine games in the Switch catalogue which have PC cross-saving, and they are a mixed bag of genres but largely AAA. Sorry not to have better news for you!

Any chance of cross-saves with sunless skies pc and switch? I've put in about 100 hours on pc and don't really want to start from the start on switch. Hard pass for me if it's not there :/

I'm sorry, it's not in our plans at the moment. Maybe one day, for a special anniversary or some such. :)

I'll look into this, thanks for flagging with us!

I'm in New Zealand and the switch store has been showing the game to pre order for a while now, on the launch day it disappeared from the NZ Switch store and I am not able to get a copy of it. Could you please help, Nintendo support is not helpful... I believe this is affecting all AU/NZ Switch store users

Any news on Zubmariner for iPad? I would love to play the game there, but having played on Windows and Mac, I don't see playing on iOS without that extra content. Given how long it has been, I'm guessing you won't be doing it, but I can always hope.
