Sunless Sea is now available on iPad!

Explore the Unterzee with a simple tap of the finger. We’ve teamed up with BlitWorks (known for mobile versions of Invisible Inc., Don’t Starve, Broken Age and Bastion, among others) for development and adapted the game’s mechanics for touch controls.

  • The same deep, compelling world packed with 350,000+ words of stories and secrets. Find your father’s bones. Determine London’s destiny. Defy the gods of the deep sea!
  • Two touch-screen control systems available, which you can switch between at any time from the settings menu.
  • While in combat, your ship will now auto-fire when your firing solution is full up.
  • Achievements available through Apple’s Game Center.
  • Sunless Sea is available for $9.99 / £9.99 and requires iOS8+ and will be compatible with iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Air 2 or higher.

If you come across any bugs on the Unterzee, please send them to

Dear developers is there a chance that you will release sunless sea on android? It would be very nice to give some kind of answer to people who wish for such a release and have supported you in the past by buying the game.

I'd really love an android version of Sunless Sea (at least for the tablet). I love playing via Steam but being able to take it on the go would be lovely, too. Anyway, keep up the good work! You guys rock! :-)

Wistful deviless Dec 25, 2:00pm

Zubmariner pritty please?

Zed Oct 2, 8:57pm

Bring it to Android pleaaasseee would love to buy it and play it there. You can make a demo version and have people test it out before buying if you are afraid that some tablets wont be able to run it. (Other developers have done that)

Why is this game not compatible with my Aquapad 2000, Nokia Ngage, Apple Newton, or HP iPAQ? Please remedy this at your earliest convenience. Tally ho!

Garret May 11, 12:32am

Can you please make this game compatible with older iPads?

I'm utterly heartbroken that it won't play on my older iPad... will there ever be a way? I'm can't believe I'm seriously considering a $250 purchase of a new iPad for this game, but there we are.

Any plans to add zubmariner to iPad version? I am playing it on pc, but would rather play it on my tablet. However the zub dlc adds too much to give up. Thanks for a fantastic game!

Don Mar 28, 7:58pm

Glad to see Sunless Sea has come to mobile, I hope it'll come to Android at some point as it's a perfect fit and Fallen London is on Android. I'm sure many would buy it. Thanks.

Exciting news! Just out of curiosity, are there any plans to bring those touchscreen controls to the standard desktop version? I have a windows hybrid laptop/tablet and I would love to be able to play on that using the touchscreen.
