Rubbery Delights, Ambitions and Cold Hard Cash
Morning folks. Three announcements for you:
First: We've just released the third section of the Rubbery Scholar series, which allows travel to Flute Street - the home of the Rubbery Men! What are they up to down there? Is it wholesome and respectable? What could a sharp-eyed scholar discover?
The Rubbery Scholar content is for players with highly developed Watchful qualities. It is available after business at the university has been concluded. The first part is open to all, but the second and third parts (the journey to Flute Street and Flute Street itself) are premium content. Flute Street turned out to be much bigger than we expected; for 25 Fate you get 35 story elements and a brimming, lashing bucket of frankly disturbing secrets.
Second: We've increased the Watchful level cap to 120. For the moment, this is mainly to assist our intrepid rubbery scholars in their explorations, but there is a further motive that will soon lead to raise all the level caps...
Yes, the ambitions are coming back. Infiltrate the terrifying Orphanage, hunt down the Sisterhood in Veilgarden, investigate the Iron Republic and discover the truth about the Royal Bethlehem Hotel. Coming soon, folks. Coming very soon indeed.
Third! Some players have expressed concern that the narrative economics content that we've just released is the model for the rest of the game.
Please, don't worry. The narrative economy stories are the basis for getting items in the second half of the game. They are not the basis for the actual stories in the second half of the game. We've got gallons of delicious narrative sloshing towards release: the next coils of the Labyrinth of Tigers, the mysterious islands of the South London Archipelago, and the alien shores of the Elder Continent. So that ship you worked so hard for will be coming in very useful...
We'd humbly point out that the new items are somewhat better value than they look. This is because the maximum possible gains from items have been significantly raised due to the new item slots. Also, we recognise that the specific items used for trading to the Bazaar Sidestreets shops can be difficult to obtain for a high level player. We are looking into addressing this issue - we'll have an announcement when we've worked out the best way to sort it out. All shall be well, friends. All manner of thing shall be well.
